Some conversations tend to get pushed aside, not because they are unimportant, but because they feel overwhelming or difficult to start. Estate planning is one of those topics. That is exactly why we hosted Wine & Wills. The intention was simple: create a space where people in our community could come together, feel comfortable, and gain a clearer understanding of how to protect what matters most.

Throughout the evening, the focus stayed on connection and clarity. Neighbors, friends, and families gathered in a relaxed setting, shared a glass of wine, and leaned into conversations that often get avoided in everyday life. There was no pressure and no complicated presentation, just an open environment where people could listen, ask questions, and begin to understand the basics of estate planning, wills, and trusts in a way that felt approachable.

We were grateful to have Therron Causey from Simpson Law Firm lead the conversation. What stood out most was how thoughtfully he guided the room. He took time to explain how wills and trusts work, what happens when there is no estate plan in place, and how families can avoid unnecessary stress during already difficult times. His approach was steady and clear, helping people move from uncertainty to understanding without feeling overwhelmed.

Choosing the right estate planning attorney matters more than most people realize. Estate planning is not just about creating documents. It is about making informed decisions that will affect your family, your assets, and your future. Working with someone who takes the time to educate, listen, and tailor a plan to your specific situation can make a significant difference. That level of care ensures that your will or trust is not just completed, but truly understood and aligned with your intentions.

What made the night meaningful was the shift that happened quietly across the room. People who had been putting this off began to see why it matters. Estate planning is not only for a certain stage of life or a certain level of wealth. It is a way to create peace of mind, protect your family, and bring clarity to situations that can otherwise feel uncertain.

This event reflected something we care deeply about. Being part of a community means showing up in ways that go beyond business. It means creating opportunities for people to learn, feel supported, and take small steps toward decisions that have a lasting impact. Conversations around estate planning, wills, trusts, and protecting your assets are not always easy, but they are important, and no one should feel like they have to navigate them alone.

Wine & Wills was never about having everything figured out in one night. It was about starting the conversation, gaining a better understanding of estate planning, and knowing where to turn when you are ready to take the next step. We will continue to create spaces like this because having access to the right information and the right people can make all the difference, and our community deserves that.
