In September 2026, homes in Indian Land, SC took a median of 38 days to sell, up from 26 days in September 2025, while the median price held near $480,000. Homes in Indian Land are taking longer to sell, and prices are mostly holding.

The numbers

So let’s take a look at the numbers. In September of this year, we had 60 closings. That’s down from 71 in August and down from 65 last year. Our median sale price was $479,625, down from $514,876 last month and $494,136 last year.

If we look at price per square foot, we’re at $213, down from $220 last month but up from $210 in September of last year. Median days on market in September was 38, which is surprisingly down from August at 53, but up from last September at 26.

Homes sold for a median of about 96% of the original asking price, so there’s about a 4% discount in there that buyers can work with. And we have 262 active listings, which is about 4.4 months of supply. I’d call that a balanced market leaning toward a buyer’s market.

September 2026 August 2026 September 2025
Closings 60 71 65
Median price $479,625 $514,876 $494,136
Price per sq ft $213 $220 $210
Median days on market 38 53 26

The bottom line

So what are those numbers telling us? Homes sold faster than in August, but they’re still taking about 12 days longer than last year. And our price per square foot is actually up about 2% from last year.

Best-selling neighborhoods in Indian Land

Sun City Carolina Lakes led by a mile. 14 of the 60 closings, almost a quarter of the market, were in Sun City, a 55-plus community. Next was Creek Water Townhomes with 4. Then Bridgemill, Hanover, The Retreat at Rayfield and The Ridge at Sugar Creek each had 3.

The top sale was $1.18 million on Point Carpenter Road in Lakeview Landing, with 2 others topping $1 million: Bridgehampton at $1.08 million and Bridgemill at $1.04 million.

The story: homes are taking longer to sell

Over the last 3 years, median days on market in Indian Land went from 15 to 24 to 39. So the slowdown here is mostly time on market, and the value of homes is still holding.

What it means for you

If you’re buying, you have time to shop and negotiate. This is the best position buyers have been in for years. If you’re selling, plan on 5 to 6 weeks, not 2. Price it right from the beginning to have your best chance at multiple offers that first weekend, and sell for more than asking instead of less.
